Andi, you led the whole match at Northwestern with 10 kills on .600 hitting, plus 6 blocks, 4 digs and an ace. With the first set tied at 17, your kill started an 8-0 run, and then you served the last seven points of the set yourself, ace included. In the second set you put down three kills in a row. Harper, you put down 9 kills in just two sets at Northwestern, with 6 of them in the first set. You added 2 aces, 3 blocks and 4 digs. Bergen, you ran the offense at Northwestern with 39 assists and added 3 aces, 7 digs and 3 blocks. Laney, you tied for the team high with 12 digs at Northwestern. In the second set you went back to serve and Nebraska won four straight points, finished by your ace for a 20-11 lead. Olivia, you played libero in every set at Northwestern and came up with 7 digs, keeping rallies alive so your hitters could swing. Nebraska won the dig battle 51-32 and has now won 25 sets in a row. Coach, your 250th career win came at Penn State in just your 295th match. That makes you the fourth-fastest coach ever to 250 Division I women's volleyball wins, and the second-fastest female head coach. Your team is 7-0 against ranked opponents this year, and under you Nebraska is 147-0 in sets when it reaches 20 points first. You teach them how to finish, and your winning is crazy good. Go Big Red!
Harper, you put down 20 kills on .471 hitting against No. 7 Wisconsin and finished the match yourself. That made you only the sixth Husker of the rally-scoring era with 20 kills and .400 hitting in a three-set match, and that week you were named Big Ten co-Player of the Week. You lead the team with 172 kills and 205 points, and you passed Lauren Stivrins for 7th in rally-era career kills. Keep climbing, Harper!
Andi, you are hitting .487, best in the Big Ten and third in the nation. You were Big Ten Player of the Week two weeks in a row, something only Madi Kubik and Kelsey Robinson had done before you at Nebraska, and AVCA National Player of the Week too. Teraya, you led the team in kills in both matches at Spikes Under the Lights, including 7 in the title win over SMU, on the trip that brought $350,000 home to Nebraska. At DePaul you put down 8 kills on 10 swings in a single set. You have 116 kills on .328 hitting and a .972 passing mark, so you help on both sides of the ball. You are only a sophomore, and the best is still ahead!
Manaia, you were Big Ten Player of the Week in September and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week in October, so you win at the net both ways. Against No. 20 Baylor you had a career-high 12 kills with zero errors. You lead the team with 64 blocks and were added to the AVCA Player of the Year Watch List. You and Andi are the only Power Four teammates both in the national top 15 in hitting. Keep rising!
Bergen, at Penn State you reached 4,145 career assists, third in Nebraska history, passing your own assistant coach, Kelly (Hunter) Natter. You were MVP of the Players Era Showcase after the sweeps of UNLV and No. 2 Texas, and your 15th Big Ten Setter of the Week award ties you for fourth in conference history. In the Big Ten opener you had a season-high 15 digs against Rutgers and sparked 5-0 runs in the first two sets. Then you led the team with 13 digs against No. 7 Wisconsin. Virginia, you came all the way from Turin, Italy, and you have started 16 matches for the No. 1 team in the country, with 89 kills and 27 blocks. At AT&T Stadium you had 5 kills against No. 17 Florida, and your late kill in Set 2 helped seal the sweep on the way to the Spikes Under the Lights title. Against No. 7 Wisconsin you and Manaia stacked back-to-back blocks to push the lead to 19-16. Nebraska is so glad you chose Lincoln!
Skyler, you keep finishing matches. You hit the final kill against Georgia Tech on a career-high 10-kill night, and you put away the last point against Rutgers and at Maryland too. Campbell, you ran the offense at Maryland with 35 assists, 8 digs, 4 blocks and 2 kills, and Nebraska swept in front of a record crowd of 15,127. Keri, a Lincoln girl from Lincoln Lutheran wearing the No. 1 jersey for the No. 1 team in the country is a hometown dream come true. You have played in 13 matches this season with 16 digs, 6 assists and an ace, and you came through with 5 digs, 2 assists and an ace against Georgia Tech. Keoni, as a freshman you were part of Nebraska's 16-block night against FGCU, with 5 block assists and 3 kills, including a kill in the second-set run to 16-10. You are already averaging 1.33 blocks a set. And at AT&T Stadium, just down the road from your hometown of Fort Worth, you put down a kill on your only swing against SMU. Your future at the net is bright!
Gabby, you hit the final kill of the home opener against New Mexico at the newly renovated Devaney Center, in front of a record 10,497 fans. What a way to welcome everybody home! At Maryland you came in late in Set 3 and Nebraska scored four straight points, with a kill and an ace from you. You make things happen the minute you step on the court.
Jayden, you have put down kills at South Dakota State, against FGCU and against Ohio State. At SDSU your only swing was a kill. Back in August you showed 10,753 fans at the Red-White Scrimmage what you can do, with 7 kills, 5 digs and 5 blocks. You are a freshman with a big future in Lincoln.

The whole Team, You were all spectacular. The weather sucked but being from Nebraska you know how to thrive in any situation. You could not play so you put on an impromptu concert with singing and dancing. Mondona and Prince were in the stadium and it was Amazing 😍🤩 Then in true Nebraska form you apologized for something you had no control over and did everything to try and correct 💯💯 you all are outstanding Women!!! The pride is well earned — first volleyball ever played inside the Friendly Confines, and the Huskers are the ones carrying it in. Big Red under the Wrigley lights, No. 1 in the country, on FOX for the whole nation to watch. That's a moment.

To the Nebraska Volleyball Team
There is no way to say this small, so I won't try: you make us proud.
You've won five national championships. You've spent more weeks at number one, won more matches, and produced more All-Americans than any program in the country. Last season you went 30–0 in the regular season and 20–0 in the Big Ten — the first perfect regular season here since 2000 — and you did it under a first-year head coach who brought home a Big Ten title in her very first year. And on one August night, 92,003 people filled Memorial Stadium to watch you, more than had ever gathered for a women's sporting event. That record belongs to you. So does the sold-out Devaney, night after night, year after year.
But that's not what I want to tell you.
What I want to tell you is what I hear from other people. I hear how polite you are. How you stop and talk to a little girl in a ponytail like she's the most important person in the room. How you love each other out loud, on the court a

Everybody comes to Vegas thinking they'll beat the house. This weekend the house wore red, and the house never lost a hand.
Nebraska volleyball opened the season by cleaning out the house at T-Mobile Arena and played six sets. They won six sets. Swept UNLV on Saturday in front of 8,878 people, then turned around Sunday and swept the No. 2 team in the country, 25-19, 25-19, 25-16. Texas. Gone in three.
The talent: Harper Murray putting up 11 kills in the opener. Andi Jackson and Teraya Sigler hitting like the net owed them money. Bergen Reilly running the whole show with 32 assists and 10 digs for a double-double.
The defense: 20 blocks to UNLV's 3. That's not a wall, that's a zoning ordinance.
The heart: These young women flew into the loudest, flashiest, most distracting city on earth and stayed locked in like they were in a quiet gym in Lincoln. That's discipline you can't coach into someone who doesn't already have it.
