An open wall. Anyone can write here, about anyone — a stranger who helped you, a whole town, a team that had a rough season.
Rain called the game. You gave a concert.
That's how much you love your fans. Want to know how much they love you? complimentsforchange.com/app
I so enjoy the way your Glory occupies my mind, it make my heart happy.
The whole Team, You were all spectacular. The weather sucked but being from Nebraska you know how to thrive in any situation. You could not play so you put on an impromptu concert with singing and dancing. Mondona and Prince were in the stadium and it was Amazing 😍🤩 Then in true Nebraska form you apologized for something you had no control over and did everything to try and correct 💯💯 you all are outstanding Women!!! Your hearts are so much bigger than the Heartland you make so proud and never fail to totally impress. GBR
Wow the huskers are breaking barriers for woman. They said that the last time this many people had been in a MLB park since Jackie Robinson's first game. 🤯
What a first kill at Wrigley. Watching the joy on your faces always brings such pride.
What a dig that must have hurt. Way to put your body on the line!!!
How incredible huskers volleyball has played in a MLB park, NHL arena, and NFL stadium all before there first home game at the Bob thus season!!!!!!!!
The pride is well earned — first volleyball ever played inside the Friendly Confines, and the Huskers are the ones carrying it in. Big Red under the Wrigley lights, No. 1 in the country, on FOX for the whole nation to watch. That's a moment.
So the history isn't in the books quite yet — but the ivy has never seen a serve like what's coming.
Nebraska ladies playing at Wrigley. Somebody get those girls a hot dog and a spike. 💗😍🌽🌞💪😍💗💯
Gabby, you stepped out there and served in front of almost nine thousand people. That takes nerve. I am so proud of you, and I cannot wait to see more.
Keri, you went back to serve in the big moments and your team scored behind you. I see that work even when the stat sheet does not. Thank you.
Laney, that serving run in set two broke the game wide open. Your passing keeps this team steady. You are the heart back there.
Virginia, two swings, two kills, nothing wasted. You came in ready and did your job. I noticed, and I loved it.
Skyler, you started set two with an ace and never looked back. That takes guts, and you have plenty of it. So proud of you.
Bergen, thirteen assists in one set. Those hands of yours are magic. Everyone smiles every time you take the court.
Manaia, you came in and put down four kills with no errors. Ready the whole time. You are so fun to watch.
Ryan, five kills on seven swings and three blocks. You do not waste a single chance. I love the way you play.
Olivia, eleven digs, more than anybody out there. You chase down balls nobody else would even try for. I cheer the loudest for you.
Campbell, you ran that whole match. Sixteen assists, two aces, eight digs. You make everybody around you better, and that is a special thing.
Kenna, seven blocks. Seven! Every time they swung, there you were. I love watching you own that net.
Teraya! Eight kills in one set and not one miss. I was hollering at my screen every time you got a set. You were unstoppable.
Harper, I could not take my eyes off you. Eleven kills, two aces, six digs. You play so hard on both sides of the net, and I am so proud to cheer for you.
To the Nebraska Volleyball Team
There is no way to say this small, so I won't try: you make us proud.
You've won five national championships. You've spent more weeks at number one, won more matches, and produced more All-Americans than any program in the country. Last season you went 30–0 in the regular season and 20–0 in the Big Ten — the first perfect regular season here since 2000 — and you did it under a first-year head coach who brought home a Big Ten title in her very first year. And on one August night, 92,003 people filled Memorial Stadium to watch you, more than had ever gathered for a women's sporting event. That record belongs to you. So does the sold-out Devaney, night after night, year after year.
But that's not what I want to tell you.
What I want to tell you is what I hear from other people. I hear how polite you are. How you stop and talk to a little girl in a ponytail like she's the most important person in the room. How you love each other out loud, on the court a
Big Wins, Big Stages, ya’ll are taking some serious hardware again this season!! GBR!!!
Harper I love how you stayed focused during the Texas game. Your blocking was outstanding.
Go Big Red WIN BIG in Vegas
Everybody comes to Vegas thinking they'll beat the house. This weekend the house wore red, and the house never lost a hand.
Nebraska volleyball opened the season by cleaning out the house at T-Mobile Arena and played six sets. They won six sets. Swept UNLV on Saturday in front of 8,878 people, then turned around Sunday and swept the No. 2 team in the country, 25-19, 25-19, 25-16. Texas. Gone in three.
The talent: Harper Murray putting up 11 kills in the opener. Andi Jackson and Teraya Sigler hitting like the net owed them money. Bergen Reilly running the whole show with 32 assists and 10 digs for a double-double.
The defense: 20 blocks to UNLV's 3. That's not a wall, that's a zoning ordinance.
The heart: These young women flew into the loudest, flashiest, most distracting city on earth and stayed locked in like they were in a quiet gym in Lincoln. That's discipline you can't coach into someone who doesn't already have it.
The coaching: Season opener, b
