For the love of the Rebels
Compliment the Rebels
An invitation from Dawn Weir
Football at Allegiant Stadium, basketball at the Thomas & Mack, volleyball and women’s basketball at The Pavilion. Write a sincere compliment for a Rebel player, a coach or the whole team. I’ll gather every one and share them with the team.
This is a community invitation from Dawn Weir and Compliments for Change. UNLV and UNLV Athletics haven’t partnered with or endorsed it. Every compliment is read with care and shared with the team as a gift.

The countdown
Every home game is a chance to tell a Rebel what they mean to this city. Here’s what’s next, in every sport on the app.
The Pavilion
More home games are coming. Keep the compliments coming!
Tickets are sold by UNLV Athletics, not by Compliments for Change.
Every Rebels team on the app
Each team has its own wall in the free app. After every game, Compliments for Change posts a compliment for every player who played, and fans add their own.

How to write one that lands
A compliment a player remembers names something real and says why it matters.
Their effort, their teamwork, their courage, the way they treat teammates and fans.
What it means to you, your kids, your family or your town.
Effort, character and team spirit. Never bodies or looks, and no favors attached.
To a player
“You play every snap like this whole city is watching, and we are. Thank you for representing us.”
To the coaches
“You teach these players to fight for each other. That’s the kind of team Las Vegas loves.”
To the team staff
“Trainers, managers and equipment crews: you make game day happen. We see you.”
From a Rebel family
“My kids wear scarlet and gray every game day because of how you carry yourselves.”

Your compliment
Write it the way you’d say it to them face to face. I read every compliment before it’s shared, and I gather them for the team.
Your email stays private. It’s only so I can say thank you. It’s never shared or sold.
Please keep it kind. Anything unkind or about someone’s body or looks won’t be passed on.
Writing with your child? Pick “My kid, with my help” below. Kids’ first names are never posted.

Why I’m doing this
“Las Vegas is my home, and these Rebels represent all of us. I want them to hear how proud we are.”

I read every compliment before it’s shared, and I gather them for the team as a gift from the fans.
One specific, sincere compliment at a time, from the fans to the team.
